■Daikanyama/Ebisu-area property listings
The environs of Daikanyama/Ebisu area are served by three train stations: one JR station, Ebisu Station, and two stations on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, Daikanyama Station and Naka-meguro Station. These facilities make for convenient commuting, and the areas they serve are popular with Tokyoites looking for retail therapy. At heart, however, these areas are tranquil residential neighborhoods. Sub-areas of the Daikanyama/Ebisu area that are considered highly desirable to live in include Aobadai district, which is home to numerous celebrities, and Nanpeidai district, where embassies of numerous countries are clustered.
Walk a little further afield and we find ourselves in Saigoyama Park, the area's best-known green space and a rich oasis of natural beauty. The park includes green meadows and an observation deck, from which Mt. Fuji can sometimes be seen. After a long day’s shopping in Daikanyama, we recommend taking a breather here.
And there’s more to come. Sometime around the fall of 2023, a new landmark, which is closest to the Daikanyama Station, will rise along Hachiman-dori and Daikanyama-dori. This mixed-use complex of rental housing, offices and shopping is designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. In keeping with a greener cityscape, the building is designed to appear as an assemblage of wooden crates of various sizes piled one on top of the other. The site will be verdant with plant life both inside and out.
Daikanyama/Ebisu area is filled with refined, grownup appeal.
